Stabilization

The Campark X20 comes with video stabilization (EIS), or electronic stabilization and it has digital and gyro stabilization. This really helps the shots to be seen with less movement and it helps you reduce the blurry effect caused by sudden movements. It has several shooting modes, such as continuous shooting, time-lapse, slow motion, and more.

If you want to record with a very smooth and stable recording we recommend getting a gimbal. The gimbal is the ultimate stabilizer of cameras. So when you are recording a video, it will be perfectly smooth. You can easily move and record without having to worry that the footage obtained will not be stable.

Battery

The Campark X20 comes with 2 rechargeable Li-ion 1050mAh batteries, which can last about 120 minutes recording at 1080 Full HD and about 60 minutes at 4K/2.7K.

The battery is situated at the bottom, where there is a cover that gives access to the battery. You can also always buy separate batteries for it and change them whenever the first two run out.

Design

Campark X20 has an elegant modern design, it is well built with good quality plastics and it has a black color. Its design is similar to most action cameras such as its predecessor the Campark ACT74, it feels pretty durable and with the waterproof housing, it can go underwater up to 40m (130 feet). All attachments are sturdy and the waterproof case is made of high-quality plastic which makes its waterproof level up to 130 feet and protects the camera from damage in normal use.

The dimensions of the Campark X20 are 24,6 x 11,6 x 7,2 cm and a weight of 540 grams, with a single button on the top, like most action cameras, which is used to take pictures and videos from it, but all the adjustments and controls will be made from the rear touch screen a 2-inch (5 cm) LCD touch screen.

On the front, we can see a tiny screen which tells you some useful information for example how much time you have been recording. As for its buttons, there are only 4, one on top, to start and stop recording or to take a picture, another in its front part, through which we will turn on and off the camera, and 2 buttons on the side to control different settings, which gives this camera a clean nice design.

Photography

The photography on the Campark is pretty decent, it can capture with its Sony sensor up to 20MP pictures with a 16:9.

In bright sunlight, the colors look natural with the whole picture showing more contrast than the GoPro, it records in MP4 / H.264 video format.

The Campark X20 also does pretty well shooting underwater and it’s a great medium-budget camera to have to get some simple shots when going diving or snorkeling

Video

The Campark X20 can record videos at 4K/30fps, 2.7K/30fps, and 1080P/60FPS and some more video resolutions, it records with real native 4K. It has decent image quality for being a medium-budget action camera, it uses a 170° super wide-angle as well as the ability to adjust the angle, and is able to provide videos and photos even in low light.

The configuration by default is well balanced, the images are sharp enough, the sky does not have the tendency classic towards a little the too blue and has overall pretty nice colors. But of course, being a medium-budget action camera don’t expect any amazing looking results, like GoPro Hero 8 can achieve (If you would like to check out our review click here).

Should you buy it?

The Campark X20 is a good quality GoPro alternative that you can get. However, this is a very good camera overall and we recommend it. You will get good recordings and pictures, crisp stable even shooting underwater.

The camera also has several recording modes which gives amplitude to all the effects and quality levels you can get when using this camera.

The Campark X20 also comes with 2 stabilizations EIS stabilization and gyro stabilization, it also comes with an equipped 2-inch touch screen as well as coming with a very complete accessory kit. It is also compatible with most accessories like all of the GoPro accessories.

The X2 uses an average Li-ion 1050mAh batteries, batteries which can last up to 120 min but go down a lot while filming in 4K resolution.

This sports action camera is a very good medium-end camera with affordable price, I recommend getting this camera if you’re looking for a good cheap quality-value action camera or maybe if you just want to update from an older version of Campark sports cam. Being a medium-budget action camera don’t expect to have GoPro quality or high-end brand quality. If you wanna check some other action cameras, medium and high-end click here!
