Stabilization
The Snaptain S5C comes with equipped with a 1 axis gimbal, if your drone is not flying stable you can do the flight calibration and take-off again more a better flight.
The stabilization isn’t the best in this drone if you want smoother videos you will have to fly slower and gently and try not to fly in windy conditions.
Battery
The Snaptain S5C comes with a rechargeable 550mAh battery which you can charge with the USB Battery Charger, which can last about 15 minutes recording at 720p.
The battery is situated at the bottom inside, where there is a cover that gives access to the battery. You can also always buy separate batteries for it and change them whenever the first two run out.
Design
The Snaptain S5C has an elegant modern design, it is well built with good quality plastics and it has a nice dark color. Its design is similar to the AI5H another drone by Snaptain, it feels pretty durable and has the ability to replace and switch pieces such as the lending legs and propellers. It can fly up to 80 meters.
The dimensions of the Potensic drone are 13.9 x 9.7 x 3.3 inches and weighs 1.55 pounds (700g), it’s a decent-sized drone, all the adjustments and controls will be made from the controller and it’s a screen with the live video, it also comes with a smartphone attachment for it to fly in FPV.
The drone has a classic quadcopter look without any protection to the propellor blades, under the body we can see the landing legs and the 2K camera to record your videos.
Modes
The S5C has the ability to do flips ( you should be at least 3m (10ft) to perform this function). Press the 3D flip button or push the right joystick to perform a 360-degree flip in an appointed direction.
With the headless mode, your drone will fly no matter what direction the aircraft is facing, the forward stick is forward, and the back stick is backward.
The trajectory flight will fly wherever you tell it to withdraw a line on the control panel to create a flight trajectory for the drone.
One key return mode will make your drone come back to you with just pressing a button, press the key, and hold for 2-3 seconds.
The S5C allows you to change the flying speed to the drone, there are 3 different speeds, slow, medium and fast, great for beginners wanting to fly slower and more experienced users wanting to go faster.
Pressure altitude hold, in this mode, the drone can maintain a constant altitude. The user can control the roll and pitch, lean angles, and heading.
My opinion
The Snaptain S5C drone is designed especially for beginners that are getting started with drones or are upgrading to a better one, it’s one of the most sold drones and tons of positive reviews. The S5C has all basic drone features, as well as pretty good flight, decent battery for its price, and modes.
The S5C is pretty easy to learn and will get you all those great aerial shots you would want in a drone and the great features it has will help you, it also carries a 550 mAh battery which will give you some time to record.
If you are looking for an FPV drone, this one will work well, it supports FPV and can go as far as 80 meters. Even though it’s a good drone don’t expect nay professional results such as a DJI drone since its low-end, we recommend getting it if you are looking for a good budget-drone, we hope this review was helpful.
