Stabilization

The SNAPTAIN SP510 doesn’t come with any stabilization, no gimbal or electronic video stabilization to get clearer pictures.

The stabilization isn’t the best in this drone if you want smoother videos you will have to fly slower and gently and try not to fly in windy conditions.

Battery

The SNAPTAIN SP510 comes with a rechargeable 7.4V 1500mAh battery which you can charge with the USB Battery Charger, which can last about 16 minutes recording at 2.7K.

The battery is situated at the bottom back inside, where there is a cover that gives access to the battery. The SP510 comes with 1 battery, we recommend getting 2 batteries so we can change them whenever the first one runs out when the first one runs out you can put the first one to charge right away.

Design

The SNAPTAIN SP510 has an elegant modern design, it is well built with good quality plastics and it has a nice dark color. Its design is similar to most drones by a SNAPTAIN such as the SP510 its predecessor, it feels pretty durable and has the ability to replace and switch pieces such as the protectors and propellers. It can fly up to 300 meters with a video connection.

The dimensions of the SNAPTAIN drone are 13.8 x 12.4 x 2.4 inches and weighs 2.5 pounds (2000g), it’s a decent-sized drone,  all the adjustments and controls will be made from the controller and its screen with the live video, it also comes with a smartphone attachment for it to fly in FPV.

The drone has a classic quadcopter look with or without protective propellor blades, you can choose what you prefer, under the body we can see the landing legs and the 2.7K camera to record your videos.

The SNAPTAIN SP510 comes with many useful modes. When the battery is low, the signal is lost or you like to recover it to never lose your drone. You can enjoy your flight using the “Follow Me” or “Waypoint” mode on the control page of the SNAPTAIN application.

You can use the app to set up the circle around an object and plan the desired route to focus on capturing photos and videos and having fun outdoors. In addition, it also has an advanced return Home option.

Thanks to the GPS we have 3 modes, Circle Fly which can automatically orbit around or fly along the path you set. , the Auto return Home which enables precise positioning and prevents losing the drone and the Tap-fly will fly along the path you draw on the app to focus on capturing photos and videos

You can set the flight distance of the SP510, you can plan your safe flight area. The drone identifies geographic locations through the GPS systems, flight, auto land or return in areas with electronic fences.

Gesture control lets you pose for the camera to activate phone jack and video recording. Thanks to this mode you can free your hands and pose your gestures or dance with your friends.

The SNAPTAIN SP510 has also multiple flight modes, the headless mode allows you to fly no matter what direction the aircraft is facing, the forward stick is forward, and the back stick is backward.

The SP510 also allows you to change between different flying speeds, high and low, which helps beginners fly slower at the start.

My opinion

The SNAPTAIN SP510 drone is a great option for most people who are looking for a great budget-quality drone with a great price, it’s a great option for beginners and more experienced flyers who want to upgrade to a better drone as well.

The SP510 has all basic drone features plus more, as well as good flight, battery and video support but it has a downside which is it’s stabilization since it doesn’t come with any gimbal or EIS.

The SP510 is pretty easy to learn and will get you all those great aerial shots you would want in a drone and the great features it has will help you, it also carries a 1500 mAh battery which will give you plenty of time to record your videos.

The 2.7K camera is situated on the front of the drone and thanks to the LED lights at the front we can see where the drone is flying and easier for night-time or low-light flying, we can also see LED in the bottom which indicates the calibration.

If you are looking for an FPV drone, this one will work well as well, it supports FPV and can go as far as 300 meters and can come back with a single button. This drone has a lot of positive reviews by many people and we recommend getting it if you are looking for a good drone, we hope this review was helpful and have fun flying.
