The SNAPTAIN A15H is a successful drone by the SNAPTAIN brand. SNAPTAIN is a pretty big producer in the drone market with some very successful models especially on sites such as Amazon, in this blog, we review the A15H a powerful medium-end foldable drone. It offers 720p HD video quality with a 120º FOV lens. It also comes with a WiFi connection which provides you with faster but clearer image transmission.

The SNAPTAIN A15H is a great beginner’s drone or for the more experienced users as well, it also has an affordable price and decent video quality. The SNAPTAIN A15H also comes with various modes such as the “Follow Me” mode which is very useful, were the drone will follow you wherever you go.

Like most drones, the SNAPTAIN A15H is a quadcopter drone with 4 propellers with protection. The camera of the SNAPTAIN A15H is mounted on the drone, a downside to this drone is that the camera doesn’t come on any gimbal or stabilization for the video.

But before we talk about its features, what comes in the box of the SNAPTAIN SP510? Inside the box, we can find the A15H drone with a battery, the USB cable to charge, the remote control, extra propellers and protection, extra screws a screwdriver, and a manual.

SNAPTAIN’s controller is also very good, it’s comfortable and easy to use with its dual handles, above the controller you can put your smartphone of all sizes when it runs out of battery you just need to charges it with its charging cable. This model is also compatible with FPV (First Person View) drones for live transmission and has GPS.

The Specs

The SNAPTAIN A15H drone uses a 720p camera with WiFi connection and FPV and GPS connection. The A15H can go as far as 90 meters with a video connection. It also has a powerful 800 mAH batteries.

The camera has a FOV adjustable angle lens up to 120° to 90º which gives you a nice look at your videos. It uses WiFi Transmission, for the high-quality real-time image transmission, you can share the incredible scenery with online.

The A15H is foldable and rechargeable, both the drone and controller are foldable and rechargeable, which makes it portable and the controller doesn’t need an extra battery. The drone is capable of supporting SD cards up to 32GB (FAT 32 format).

The package also includes drone protection guards which can protect people and property and extra propellers in case the ones you have get damaged and need to be replaced.

This drone also comes with a rechargeable 800 mAh batteries. The A15H drone allows you to fly up to 9 minutes when they’re charged and change batteries when one runs out to have another 9 minutes.

Stabilization

The SNAPTAIN A15H doesn’t come with any stabilization, no gimbal or electronic video stabilization to get clearer pictures.

The stabilization isn’t the best in this drone if you want smoother videos you will have to fly slower and gently and try not to fly in windy conditions.

Battery

The SNAPTAIN A15H comes with a rechargeable 3.7V 800mAh battery which you can charge with the USB Battery Charger, which can last about 9 minutes recording at 720p.

The battery is situated at the bottom back inside, where there is a cover that gives access to the battery. The A15H comes with 2 batteries, whenever the first one runs out you can put the first one to charge right away and use the second one for more flight time, you could get more if you wanted.

Design

The SNAPTAIN A15H has an elegant modern design, it is well built with good quality plastics and it has a nice blueish color. Its design is similar to most drones by a SNAPTAIN such as the SP500 (check out our review here), it feels pretty durable and has the ability to replace and switch pieces such as the protectors and propellers. It can fly up to 90 meters with a video connection.

The dimensions of the SNAPTAIN drone are 11.4 x 7.9 x 3.2 inches and weighs 1.45 pounds (650g), it’s a decent-sized drone, all the adjustments and controls will be made from the controller and its screen with the live video, it also comes with a smartphone attachment for it to fly in FPV.

The drone has a classic quadcopter look with or without protective propellor blades, you can choose what you prefer, under the body we can see the landing legs and the 720p camera to record your videos.

The SNAPTAIN A15H is also foldable and has flexible blades that make the drone small and portable and lets you travel light and comfortable to enjoy the flight fun.

Modes

The SNAPTAIN A15H comes with many useful modes to help you fly and have better flying experience as well as having more fun with cool acrobatics and voice control.

Altitude Hold mode uses a powerful air pressure altitude to hold function and can accurately lock the height and location of the drone so it can stay still in the air. Easy for you to shoot quality images or videos.

The A15H is also capable of doing flips in the air when flying the drone to a height over 2 meters, just with pressing the 3D Flip button and moving the right control stick the drone will flip 360° accordingly and provide a stunt aerial show.

You are also able to use the SNAPTAIN drone with voice control with simple voice commands like “take off”, “landing”, “left”, “forward”, “right”, “backward”, which makes it the best choice for beginners and easy to use without using your hands.

With the app, you can draw a path you want your drone to follow, and the drone will fly following the path accordingly without having to control the drone yourself.

The SNAPTAIN A15H has a headless mode that allows you to fly no matter what direction the aircraft is facing, the forward stick is forward, and the back stick is backward.

The Gravity Sensor mode enables the quadcopter A15H to follow the direction you move your smartphone. It also supports VR FPV (First Person View) live flight.

The A15H also allows you to change between different flying speeds, high, medium and low, which makes this suitable for beginners and experts. You can even try switching the different speed modes when the drone is in flight for more fun.

My opinion

The SNAPTAIN A15H drone is a great option for most people who are looking for a great budget-quality drone with a great price, it’s a great option for beginners and more experienced flyers who want to upgrade to a better drone as well.

The A15H has all basic drone features plus more, as well as good flight, decent 2 batteries and video support but it has a downside which is it’s stabilization since it doesn’t come with any gimbal or EIS.

The A15H is pretty easy to learn and will get you all those great aerial shots you would want in a drone and the great features it has will help you, it also carries an 800 mAh battery which can last a decent time with the price of the drone.

The 720p camera is situated on the front of the drone and thanks to the LED lights at the front we can see where the drone is flying and easier for night-time or low-light flying, we can also see LED in the bottom which indicates the calibration.

If you are looking for an FPV drone, this one will work well as well, it supports FPV and can go as far as 90 meters and you are able to use modes with just 1 button.
