The VanTop Moment 3 4K is a GoPro alternative and very impressed for its price. VanTop is not a very known brand to most people but its model, the Moment 3 is one of the most sold action cameras, in this review we discover why it’s so popular. It offers 4k quality and 16MP pictures.
The definition, focus, and detail is pretty average quality. It comes with a multitude of accessories so you can use it to get better footage.
The VanTop Moment 3 4K is a GoPro alternative from the brand of VanTop with an affordable price and decent video quality. The VanTop Moment 3 4K lets you take photos up to 16MP with 4K recording, and allows you to use other cool features as well as record underwater with the case and use the many accessories it comes with.
The VanTop Moment 3 is waterproof and comes with 2 batteries. The protective case is waterproof and impact-resistant, which makes it possible to shoot videos underwater up to 30m. It also comes with 2 rechargeable 1050mAh batteries to never let you miss a wonderful time and an external charger.
But before we talk about its features, what comes in the box of the VanTop Moment 3 4K? It comes in a small box with many accessories inside such as 2 batteries and a wrist-remote for your sports cam.

Specs
The VanTop Moment 3 4K uses a Sony sensor that is able to shoot in 4K/30fps, 2.7K/30fps and 1080P/ 60fps video resolution and 16MP photos.
It has a wide-angle lens up to 70, 110 and 170° wide-angle lens that allows you to shoot larger scenes with a maximum aperture of f / 2.8. The Victure has (EIS) Electronic Image Stabilization for anti-shaking and image stabilization to make your video much more smooth.
It also comes with the ability to connect through WiFi to your phone, android, and IOS. This action camera supports Class 10 micro SD of up to a maximum of 32GB, there is a microSD card is included by VanTop, and you must format the SD card in settings before the first use of the camera if you are using an old SD card.
The protective case is waterproof and impact-resistant, makes it possible to shoot underwater videos 30m underwater and is suitable for all types of winter sports, such as skiing.
This underwater camera also comes with 2 rechargeable 1050 mAh batteries. You can save the time by charge the 2 1050mah batteries at the same time, the VanTop camera allows you to record up to 120 minutes when they’re charged.

Stabilization
The VanTop comes with video stabilization (EIS), or electronic stabilization, which allows the shots to be seen with less movement and it helps you reduce the blurry effect caused by sudden movements. It has several shooting modes, such as continuous shooting, time-lapse, slow motion, and more.
If you want to record with a very smooth and stable recording we recommend getting a gimbal. The gimbal is the ultimate stabilizer of cameras. So when you are recording a video, it will be perfectly smooth. You can easily move and record without having to worry that the footage obtained will not be stable.
Battery
The VanTop Moment 3 4K comes with 2 rechargeable Li-ion 1050mAh batteries, which can last about 120 minutes recording at 1080 Full HD and about 60 minutes at 4K/2.7K.
The battery is situated at the bottom, where there is a cover that gives access to the battery. You can also always buy separate batteries for it and change them whenever the first two run out.
Design
The VanTop 3 4K has an elegant modern design, it is well built with good quality plastics and it has a black color. Its design is similar to its predecessors such as the VanTop 3 4K, it feels pretty durable and with the waterproof housing, it can go underwater up to 30m (100 feet). All attachments are sturdy and the waterproof case is made of high-quality plastic which makes its waterproof level up to 100 feet and protects the camera from damage in normal use.
The dimensions of the VanTop Moment 3 4K are 2.44 x 1.57 x 0.86 inches and a weight of 2.56 oz, with a single button on the top, like most action cameras, which is used to take pictures and videos from it, but all the adjustments and controls will be made from the rear touch screen a 2-inch (5 cm) LCD touch screen.
On the front, we can see a tiny screen which tells you some useful information for example how much time you have been recording. As for its buttons, there are only 3, two on top, one to start and stop recording or to take a picture and the other for the settings. There is another in its front part, through which we will turn on and off the camera, the rest of the menus and settings we can change with the 2 ″ rear touch screen, which really gives this camera a good-looking design.
Photography
The photography on the VanTop is pretty decent, it can capture with its sensor up to 16MP pictures with a 16:9.
In bright sunlight, the colors look fine, it doesn’t have a lot of detail and the image is pretty sharp.
The VanTop Moment 3 4K also does pretty well shooting underwater and it’s a good low-budget camera to have to get some simple shots when going diving or snorkeling.

Video
The VanTop Moment 3 can record videos at 4K/30fps, 2.7K/30fps, and 1080P/60FPS and some more video resolution, it records with interpolated 4K. In bright sunlight, the colors look fine, it doesn’t have a lot of detail and the video is sharp and not to clear, the audio could be better as well but it’s decent for the price.
At night time it’s when the camera performs the worst not showing a lot of detail and a lot of contrast. It uses a 170° super wide-angle as well as the ability to adjust the angle.
Of course, being a low-budget action camera don’t expect any amazing looking results, like GoPro Hero 8 can achieve (If you would like to check out our review click here).

Should you buy it?
The VanTop Moment 3 4K is a decent action camera overall, pretty good for its price. It has some pretty good features and covers all of the basic needs of an action camera, for example, the ability to go underwater even though it needs its housing or slow-motion up to 120 fps with 720p.
The VanTop Moment has EIS stabilization and all the functions necessary to record high-quality videos, it also comes with an equipped 2-inch touch screen as well as coming with a very complete accessory kit. It is also compatible with most accessories like all of the GoPro accessories. The Moment 3 4K uses good Li-ion 1050mAh batteries, batteries which can last up to 120 min.
This sports action camera is a pretty decent low-end camera with affordable price, I recommend getting this camera if you’re looking for a cheap quality-value action camera or maybe it’s your first action camera.
